Why do different models require a different Tech-Sight?

The shape and/or mount spacing on the Mini rifles has been changed by Ruger over the course of its life.  Some models require a mounting adapter block, others require a completely different model sight.

Installation

  1. Make sure the firearm is unloaded with magazine removed.  Lock the bolt in the open position.  Never install sights on a loaded firearm.
  2. Remove the rear sight by removing the screw at the front of the sight assembly.
  3. Attach the new rear sight in the existing mounting location, using the included mounting screw.
  4. Apply a small amount of blue thread locker to the two 8-36 x 1/8" set screws.  Thread and tighten.
  5. Enjoy shooting your upgraded rifle.
